Apparently Lucanites thought "It was bet- ter to give than to receive" for much of the "loot" went Out of town. Minor teams split contests By STEVE DAVIS Lucan Bantams ewere out- played and outshot at a game here Saturday losing to Ken- sal Park 4-0, However, the pee wees up- held the honor of Lucan by de- feating Ilderton 3-2. Their star placers were Billy Haskett, Gordie Hardie, and Jerry Freeman. Lions dance Hats, balloons and horns featured a successful dance, sponsored by the Lucan Lions Club at the community centre last Friday night. Al Login of London provided the music. Businessmen's draw The numbers posted for Lu- can Businessmen's third Satur- day draw were 1807, 1165 and 1002, For the first two weeks no one handed in a number to Mr, Hay of the Koffee Kup and only one handed in hers for the last draw, so of the nine possible winners Mrs, Eva Henson of Water St, (who re- ceived S45) was the only win- ner. The president and his committee have not as yet de- cided what to do with the un- claimed money. It is thought, in the Christ- mas rush, Lucanites didn't take time to read their card of directions and didn't realize. their card and number might be of monetary value and dis- carded them carelessly, for someone in the community re- ceived the other eight lucky numbers. 1,1kAW,t MISTER; 106.1 i t Oftfr tog* ''.eleeeeeefe. s -.see., • Four youths sent to jail.
