: show at Exeter Fair Wednesday night and the honors were divided equally among
boys and girls. In the six months and under class (top), .the prizes went to Joanne
April, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken McLinchey, RR 3 Parkhill,. who weighs 16
lbs., 1 oz., and Mary Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Elmer Willis, Exeter, 16 lbs.,
04 ozs. The six-month to one year class was won by (bottom right) Edward, 23-1b.

Legion auxiliary
plans celebration
At the re -opening meeting of
the Exeter Legion Ladies Aux-
iliary in the Legion Hall on
Monday evening plans were
made to celebrate the tenth
birthday on October 16 with
five other auxiliaries to be en-
tertained.
Arrangements were made for
a bowling tournament to be
held in Exeter November 1 and
also to attend a tournament in
Wingham October 4.
President Mrs, Clarence
Knight chaired the meeting
which was preceded by a pot
luck supper. Mrs. Charles Cory
won the mystery prize.

on the theme "Harvest."
A misisonary reading entitled
"Tracts in Africa" was given
by Mrs, Milford Prouty and the
hostess also gave a reading.
Leading in prayer were Mrs.
McLaren, Mrs. Prouty and Mrs.
Grant Triebner, who also closed
the meeting with prayer.
'Mrs, Don Jolly presided for
the meeting and conducted the
business.
