sel, a very faithly and effi-
cient organist of Hensall Uni-
ted Church for over 20 years,
has tendered her resignation
which became effective this
week, No successor has been
named as yet for the position.
CHURCH NOTES
Resumes evening worship
On Sunday evening Carmel
Presbyterian Church will re-
sume evening worship services
at 7 p.m. The service will con-
sist of a hymn -sing, prayer and
Bible study. For this Sunday
the congregation has been asked
to read the book of Genesis be-
fore the service.

Knox Presbyterian Church, Go-
derich, Sunday afternoon and
listened to lectures and viewed
film strips on the use of audio
and visual aids.

Kinettes plan rummage sale.
Mrs, Jack Drysdale was
hostess at her home Tuesday'
evening for the Kinette meet-
ing, with president Mrs. Wil-
liam Clement in the chair.
Date for the fall rummage
sale was set for Saturday, Oc-
tober 14 at. the Legion Hall.
Mrs. John Dcitz reported a
birthday gift had been sent to
their adopted Italian girl. Mrs.
William Fuss attended as a
guest.
Next meeting Thursday, Sep-
tember 28 will be joint instal-
lation of Kinsmen and Kinettes.

Hensall Women's Institute last

Mr. William Hyde, 98 years
of age, gave selections on the
violin and told something of
his musical career and. the 100
medals he had won. Mrs.
George Hess, who presided for
the pr o g r a m, accompanied
him. Kenneth and Grant Jones
contributed vocal. solos with
guitar accompaniment.
Winners in bingo were Mrs.
Harold Jones (2), Mrs. W. H.
Weekes, Mrs. R. D. Elgie, Mrs.
T. J. Sherritt, Mrs. Maude
Hedden, Mrs. Archie Noakes
and Mrs. R. M. Peck (special).

Hensall, held a combined meet-
ing at the home of Mrs, R. H.
Middleton Thursday.
Guest speaker, Mrs. W. A.
Seibert of Zurich, spoke on
ideas for bazaars and demon-
strated many articles suitable
for sale. She talked also on her
fascinating hobby- on preserved
flowers, weeds and corsages,
and arrangements of driftwood
pieces.
The speaker was introduced
by Mrs. Thomas Lavender and
thanked by Mrs. C. Green of
Exeter, who presided for the
meeting. •
Plans for a monster bazaar
were discussed and dates were
set for Tuesday evening, Nov,
28 and Wednesday afternoon,
Nov. 29, to be held in Trivitt
Memorial Parish Hall, Exeter.
Plans for the first series of
