Kemp I VVI studies (Veteran organist dies in Michigan • resigns position Laura Sell Kemp died in the re s o u 1 i o n s Miss Greta Lammie of Hen- sel, a very faithly and effi- cient organist of Hensall Uni- ted Church for over 20 years, has tendered her resignation which became effective this week, No successor has been named as yet for the position. CHURCH NOTES Resumes evening worship On Sunday evening Carmel Presbyterian Church will re- sume evening worship services at 7 p.m. The service will con- sist of a hymn -sing, prayer and Bible study. For this Sunday the congregation has been asked to read the book of Genesis be- fore the service. Attend teachers' training school Rev. D. Ross MacDonald, Clarence Volland, Sunday School superintendent, and teachers Mrs. Gordon Schwalm, Mrs. Beverly Beaton, Mrs. Harry Hoy, Mrs. William Brown and Mrs. Clarence Volland attended teachers' training school at Knox Presbyterian Church, Go- derich, Sunday afternoon and listened to lectures and viewed film strips on the use of audio and visual aids. She talked also on her fascinating hobby- on preserved flowers, weeds and corsages, and arrangements of driftwood pieces. The speaker was introduced by Mrs. Thomas Lavender and thanked by Mrs. C. Green of Exeter, who presided for the meeting. • Plans for a monster bazaar were discussed and dates were set for Tuesday evening, Nov, 28 and Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 29, to be held in Trivitt Memorial Parish Hall, Exeter.
