dishes that peaches and pine-
apple are delic -is together,
The one fruit is soft and deli-
cate, the other tends to be
crisp and a little bit tangy.
They set each •other off per -
"telly when they are combined
deooked and a little pine-
apple juice with baked peaches
is effective.
Baked Peaches
We take baked apples for
granted but baked peaches are
good •
6 medium peaches skinned
and cut in quarters
1/2 cup granulated sugar
V,7 cup pineapple ;juice
few grains nutmeg.
Preheat oven to 350'. Ar-
range peaches in baking dish.
Sprinkle sugar over fruit. Pour
in pineapple juice and sprinkle
with nutmeg. Cover and bake
about 20 minutes; remove
cover and bake about 10 min-
tites longer. Serve pcach,es
warm or chilled with pouring
cream or custard sauce.
Pickled Peaches

8 cups sugar
4 cops vinegar
1 cup water
1 ounce stick of cinnamon
ounce 1o1 cloves
4 quarts small p e a oh e

Boll sugar, vinegar, water
and stick cinnamon, uncovered,
for 10 minides. Peel peaches.
Stick 2 whole doves in each
peach. Acid peaches to syrup
and cook slowly until tender,
alma 5 to 8 minutes, Let stand
M syrup 10 to 12 hours,
Remove peaches and strain
syrup to remove cinnamon.
Bring syrup to boil and boil
rapidly, uncovered for 5 min-
utes. Pock peaches in hot
sealers, cover completely with
hot syrup and seal. Store sev-
eral weeks before using. Makes
about 8 pints sealers. If peach-
es are very juicy, emit the
water,

at the home of Mrs. Selbourne
English with Mrs. Elton Curls
in charge of the worship and
study hook, "Signals for Six-
ties".
The scripture was read bY
Mrs. Ken Rock. Mrs. J. Gero-
niette gave a reading on Chris-
tian Stewardship. Prayer was
offered for the prayer mission-
ary. Miss Taylor, of India,
Mrs, Joe Horner opened the
WA meeting with a poem.
Two members visited the birth-
day bank.
