Thursday was an unfortunate
(lay for Audrey and Janice
Hayter, daughters of Mr, and
Mrs. Lloyd Hayter, of William
Janice got her hand caught
in the wringer. Though not eut,
it is badly swollen and she is
going around •with her arm in
a sling,
Audrey was roller skating at
the arena, fell and had tp be
taken to St. Joseph's Hospital
by the Haskett ambulance, for
X-rays on her knee, Though
nothing was broken, she will
be on crutches for a month or
longer,
Helen Hodgins, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Evan Hodgins,
will take her place at the hotel
restaurant.

in 58 calls,
Thursday evening saw one of
the largest crowds yet at the
Legion Hall, many of whom got
caught in the heavy downpour.
Exeter and Granton went
home with most of the "loot",
though a Sarnia man, Mr,
Gordon Brown, won the $5 con-
solation prize. Mr. Benny Kelly
of Lucan and Mrs, Art Hariton
won the "line prizes" for
"Share the Wealth" and Mr.
Henry Bieber of Clandeboye
and Mr, Clarence Taylor of
Exeter shared in the full card
prize.
Mrs. L. Holland of Exeter,
Mr. Russell Pincombe of Park-
hill and Mrs, Cecil Neil, Lucan,
shared in the first part of the
consecutive bingo, Mr, Harvey
Langford, Lucan, who won the
second bingo, won the second
part and Mr. R. Pincombe won
the full card prize.
The sixth bingo was split be-
tween Mrs. Jack Henson and
Bette Smith, both of Lucan.
All other winners were solo
