floor -length gown of bridal sa-
tin over taffeta, The snugly
fitted bodice was styled with
three-quarter sleeves and scoop
neckline accented with appli-
ques of Chantilly lace sprinkled
with pearls. The bouffant skirt
featured front ruffles sweeping
to a chapel train. A dainty
crown of rosebuds held in place
her veil of double French illu-
sion. She carried a bouquet of
white roses.
Maid of honor was Miss Ag-
nes Boutte, London, sister of
the groom, and bridesmaid was
.Cobie Mommersteeg, London,
sister of the bride. They were
gowned alike in mist green or-
ganza over taffeta and wore
butterfly headdresses with face
veils. They carried cascades of
pink and white carnations.
Martin Mommersteeg, brother
of the bride, and Guston Boutte,
London, brother of the groom
were best men.
.A reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents
where the bride's mother re-
ceived guests in a blue floral
Vire silk dress with jacket and
orchid corsage.
For travelling to Niagara
Falls and points in the States
the bride changed to a .dior
blue suit with white accessories
and corsage of a variegated
pink orchid.
The couple will reside in Lon-
don.

Later this month Rev. and
Mrs, Stanley Tomes will take
up residence at the rectory of
St. Peter's Church, Big Trout
Lake, near Hudson Bay, follow-
ing their marriage in St. Mat-
thew's Anglidan Church, Lon-
don, on Saturday, June 3, at
12 o'clock with the Rt. Rev.
W. A. Townshend, Suffragan
Bishop of Huron, officiating.
'The bride is the former
Doris Evelyn Lloyd, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William R.
Lloyd, London, and the groom
is the son of Mrs. Emily Tomes
and the late George Tomes,
Clandeboye.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a floor -
length gown of peau-de-soie
which she designed herself.
Guipure lace motifs and pearls
edged the neckline and front
panel of the ailse.wj.de skirt of
impressed pleats designed with
bustle back, The fitted bodiee
was styled with lily -point
sleeves. A matching pillbox
held her double scalloped
finger-tip -veil of French illu-
sion trimmed with pearls. She
carried a white Bible crested
with pink Sweetheart roses
and stephanotis.
Miss Betty Fletcher, Wood-
stock, as maid of honor, was
gowned in iridescent lilac silk
brocade, styled similarly to
the bride's. She carried mauve
and white pompoms and carna-
tions. Mary Lloyd, Windsor,
niece of the bride, was flower
girl dressed in iridescent lilac
brocade and carried a white
basket of assorted sweet peas.
Thomas J. Tornes, Clande-
boye, was best man for his
brother and H. Ivan Lloyd,
Windsor, and John. Thompson,
Kirkton, ushered.
A reception was held in the
parish hall where the bride's
mother received guests in aqua
brocade with white and aqua
accessories and pink rosebud
corsage. The groom's mother
wore navy shantung with white
accessories and ide pink cor-
sage.
The Young Ladies Club, of
which the bride is a member,
served the guests.
For a honeymoon spent in
Southern Ontario, the bride
changed to a beige stroller
suit with moss green acces-
sories and corsage of orange
Delight roses,
The groom is a graduate of
the University of Western On.

quet of red roses.
Sister of the bride, Mrs.
Lloyd Wrigley, Woodstock, was
matron of honor wearing a
mediterranean blue brocade
dress and corsage of yellow
mums.
Donald Regier, brother of the
groom, was best man.
A reception and buffet lunch-
eon was held for the im-
mediate relatives at the home
of the groom where the groom's
mother wore navy lace with
bone accessories and pink rose
corsage. Mrs, Kuhn chose a
green floral silk dress with
white accessories and corsage
of pink roses.
For travelling to Hamilton
and other points in Ontario
the bride donned a mauve
sheath dress with white acces-
sories and corsage of pink car-
nations and white mums.
The couple will live in Cred-
iton.

and Mrs. Arthur John Bumph-

bia, •on Saturday, June 10 at
11. a.m, in St, Peter's Cathe-
dral, London, before a back-
ground of mums, daisies and
lilies.
Rev. Father Gleeson per.
formed the ceremony and Lor-
enzo Brebais played traditional
wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a gown
of nylon lace over slipper satin
with fitted bodice, lily point
sleeves and sabrina neckline
dotted with iridescent sequins
and pearls. Her aisle -wide
bouffant skirt was -styled with
insets of accordion pleating.
She carried a bouquet of red
Sweetheart roses.
Miss Beverley Hoyer, Lan-
caster -Park; Alta„ as maid of
honor for her sister and Miss
Beverley Bumphrey, Kelowna,
B.C. as bridesmaid, were gown-
ed alike in street -length gowns
of organza over silk in aqua
and mauve respectively with
white accessories.' They car-
ried bouquets of mauve mums
'with pink rosebuds.

at Knotty Pine inn, London,
where the brides' mother re-
ceived guests in blue floral
nylon with white accessories
and the groom's mother assist-

For travelling the bride chose
a box -style suit in robin's egg
blue with orchid corsage.
The couple will make their
home in Exeter. The groom is
an instrument technician at
RCAF Station, Centralia.

Mrs, Clem Boland, the presi-
dent, conducted the monthly
meeting of the Catholic Wo-
men's League in the Parish
Hall, Twenty - five members
wore present,
Father Kelly spoke to the
members and reminded them
that the month of June was
dedicated to the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus and that spec-
ial prayers were to bet said
that. month.
Final plans were made for
the annual ham supper and
dance Wednesday, July 5.
A letter was received and
read from the CWL members
of St. Peter's Church, saying
that they would help with do-
nations toward school projects
and library books.
Mrs, Alphonse Hartman, past
president, was given a. white
pearl rosary for recognition of
her work for the past two
years.
WI honors
4-H leader
At the meeting of Elimville
Women's Institute last Wednes-
day evening, June 14 Mrs, Del-
mer Skinner was presented
with a gift for leading 12 4-H
clubs.
The program was arranged
by the historical research and
current; events committee with
Mrs. Ivan Brock in. the chair.
The motto "Look back and
give thanks; look forward and
, give courage" was discussed
by Mrs. Jack Ilern. The roll
call was answered by each
member bringing her baby
picture,
Mrs. Delmer Skinner gave
some highlights of Fair Boards
Convention in Toronto and
Mrs. Franklin Skinner gave a
report of the District WI An-
nual. Several ladies dressed in
historic costumes sang a selec-
tion.
Bus trip to London
On Thursday, June 15 mem-
bers of Elimville Women's In.
stitute took a bus trip to Lon-
don visiting the Coca-Cola
plant, Kellegg's Company Ltd.,
Hollywood Greeting Cards Ltd.,
London Fire Hall, London Post
Office and the Pioneer Village
at Fanshawe.
