on union have been held be-
tween the two churches for
more than 10 years. Both are
currently engaged in general
discussions on unity with the
Anglican church,
It was announced that the
United Church is willing to ac- 1
cept bishops in any future;
union with the Anglican church,
but not bishops with monarch-
ial power. .A bishop could serve
a useful purpose, a UC spokes- '
man said, representing unity,
and doctrine.
