After copping the "B" group championship, the Lucky Six pulled a big upset by whip- ping the Crumbs in the fight for the grand championship, The Crumbs were the "A" league winners, Members of the Lucky Six were Wes Watson, Earl Lewis, Wilbert Lewis, Kelly Robin- son, Karl Pickering, Les Mor- ley, Murray Hamilton and Lon Hodgins. The Crumbs squad was com- prised of Bob Patterson, Bill, Allison, Don Pickering, Lloyd Mawson, Lloyd Durr, Charlie Thompson, Leslie Steeper and Doug Mawson. The Ken Carter trophy for high single for the season was presented to Wilbert Lewis, while Jake Edward copped the Ailsa Craig Legion silverware for the high triple. Gordon MacDonald won the high aver- age with a figure of 204, Jack Arnold, proprietor of the Lucan Lanes, presented identification folders to bowl- ers who tossed 300 -or -over games and 700 -or -over triples. Winners included: Wilbert Le- wis, Gerry Noyes, Gord Mac- Donald, John Barnes, Clarence Carter, Jim Laye, Gordon Cronk, Bob Morley, Ny le Martin, Jake Edwards and Russell Lee, Two other teams received in- dividual awards for season performances.
