monies held by the schools of
nursing at Victoria and St.
Joseph's Hospital, London, last

Misses Sandra Wainer and
Marilyn Hamilton, both of
Exeter, and Pauline Boulianne,
Crediten, were capped on Fri-
day in the recreation room of
the Gartshore Nurses' Resi-
dence with parents and friends
in attendance. Rev. Anne Gra-
ham, London, tras guest speak-
er.
Miss Carol McCurdy, Cen-
tralia. along with 65 first year
student nurses, received her
cap it a ceremony in the rec-
reation room of St. Joseph's
Hospital on Thursday.
Miss Anne Morris, Staff,
and Shirley Dorman, Ailsa
Craig, were also in the latter
cla ss.
At both ceremonies a re-
ception and tea followed for
parents and friends.

South Huron Hozpital on Tues-
day afternoon.

lop in introducing a panel to
discuss hospital financing.
Chairman of the Hospital
_Board, W. G. Cochrane, was
moderator of the panel which
included Miss Alice Claypole,
adniMistrater, Charles Smith,
chairntan of finance, and El-
gin Rowcliffe, chairman of spe-
cial funds.
"We as a hospital are in a
very preferred poSition com-
pared to other hospitals" said
Mr, Cochrane 'And it is large-
ly due to the co-operation of

pital Board And the Women's

Mrs. Dunlop in opening the
meeting noted that this was
the eighth anniversary of the
opening of the hospital and
later in the panel discussion
Mr. Rowcliffe paid tribute to
the Lions who had the fore-
sight to fet this hospital "rol-
ling. We should respect them
very highly" he said "for each
home in town is worth $1,000
more because of the hospital."
In the business period it. was
noted that during the eight
years the hospital had been
functioning the Auxiliary had
contributed 520,066 — one-half
of which was spent on linens
and hospital. upkeep as well as
furnishing the sitting room in

!men Sponge Pudding
Cream together 1 .tp lemon
rind and 4 tbl butler and add
1 cup white sugar. Add two
well beaten egg yolks and thor,,
mighty Mend.
,Add 3 tbl lemon jiec and
2 1bl flour. Mix in I cup milk
and a pinch of salt. Fold in
two stiffly beaten egg whites.
Nur into greased baking dish
and place In pan of water in
a 325 degree oven for 1 hour
or until done, Serve either hot

Chocolate Bread Pudding
Another dessert recipe taken
in this course "The Third
Meal" was for Chocolate Bread
Pudding:
2 tbl butter
vs cup brown sugar
2 cups hot mills
2 eggs
1 tp
salt to taste
2 cups bread cubes
pkg chocolate chipits.
Heat butter and brown sugar
over low heat until sugar is
melted. Gradually add hot
milk, stir and cool, Add slight-
ly beaten egg, vanilla. and salt.
