We'Ve come to the conclusion that the
•eXeetttiVe nierobere of the governing bodies of
hoekey Are eoniprised ,mainly of school teachers.
We recall it the Memorable days when we were
teying to bretaden our edlitation, our teachers had
long list Of infallible rules that proved extremely
'prefitable to aid in dtiving thing t into aur noggin.
After explaining at 'Ong lengths about "i"
before "e"—except after "c" we figured that
would be a comparative snap. After all,
with a cute little rhyme such at that, a fellow
would have. to be i cOMplete dunderhead to make
fnistake.
HoWever, after long hours of patient study,
ail 1jially mastering thit rule, the teacher came
out with the startling announcement that there
wire "A few excePtions" to this ruk, After turn-
' ing blue ie the face while she listed. these "few"
exceptient, we forgot about the thyme and figur-
• ed, that we could possibly average at least 50 per
cent accuracy by merely guessing, (Looking over
eolrie Old school papers we found we were just
slightly under this figure at 28 per cent—bUt then
everybody ean't be lucky,)
Well, to get back to our original thought

However, the WOAA.and OMHA appear to
haVe Set up 'a fair set of ruleend although they
haven't incorporated any litt1 rhyniet so they can
reineMber theM, we think it would be a top-notch
idea.
At any rate, they still appear to have a "few
, exteptions" end unfortunately Exeter usually ends
14p as a vietim of this lit. As we stated in the tail
end of our column last week, the local hockey
organizers are in a bit of a hake with, the ruling
bodies over the classification of some of their op -
portents.
The rides state that towns with a popula-

has been stretched to include a town with a popu-

The WOAA ruled that Goderich could re-

patently backed this up, And everything Appeared

However, the Goderieh bantam squad has

HoWever, they have been beaten twice by
the Goderich lads, and. although. the two are evenly
reatehed, Exeter could. possibly And up on the
sidelinels after their seri. This situation could
result in at protest being lodged by the Exeter of-
litials and we feel it *mid be quite justifiable.
After all, iste'Ye learned by experience that
the hockey rulerexpect us to play by the rules—
