were seen in the village several
times prior to Christmas Day
and appeared to be staying at
the home of Air. and Mrs. John
McDonald.
Santa was seen at the con-
cert at St. Daniien's School di-
rected by the teacher Airs.
George Carburt on Tuesday, De-
cember 22. He remembered all
with gifts,
He was also seen at the
Christmas party of the Scouts
and Cubs on Wednesday, Dec-
ember 23 where he distributed
gifts.
Airs. Claus appeared at the
Catholic Women's League Christ-
mas party on Monday, Decem-
ber 21 after a brief business
meeting opened by director Fa-
ther W. G, Smith and con-
tacted by the president, Mrs.
Marcel Collez. She also pre-
sented gilts.

The Base Line school held its
annual . Christmas concert on
Tuesday evening, December 22.
The school, was filled to capa-
city, some attending from Kirk-
ton and 8th Line.
The pupils showed their talents
under the direction of their
teacher, Miss Marilyn Marshall
of Kirkton and their music teach-
er, Mr. Harley, Mitchell.
The program featured recites
tions by Brenda Parkinson, Paul
Coward, Ralph Baker, Bill Es-
son and John Verhaeghe; vocal
duet by Cathy and. Ricky De
