spoke briefly on the relationship
of the church to Free Masonry.

The special White Gift service
was held on Sunday morning in
a combined service. Mr. Elson
Lynn, Sunday School superinten-
dent assisted Rev. H. C. Wilson
with the service.
Brian Hern read the scripture,
Marilyn Weber gave a poem and
Carol Johns' read the story "In
As Much," The junior *boys' Ed-
ward Johns, Bob Faye and Mar-
tin Montmorency took the offer-
ing and the choir sang two an-
thems.

has passed her RN examinations,
She is now on the permanent
staff at Oshawa. Jean is a grad-
uate of Clinton collegiate and
daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Alex

Mrs, W. Green
Usborne native
Mrs. William Green, 59, An-
drew Street, died Saturday, Dec-
ember 12 at the Heywood Nur-
sing Home after a lengthy ill-
ness.
She was the former Margaret
Ethel McDonald of Usborne
Township. Mr. and Mrs. Green
moved to Exeter five years ago.
Besides her husband she is
survived by one son, William of
Seven Islands, Quebec, who ar-
rived home on Tuesday.
The funeral service, conducted
by Rev. S. E. Lewis, was held on
Monday from the Hopper -Hockey
funeral home with interment in
Exeter cemetery.
Pall bearers were Robert Cann,
Almer Passmore, Ken Duncan,
Gilbert Johns, Melvin Gardiner
and Lloyd McDonald.

second shutout
Exeter pee . wees tightened
their first place grip in the
Shamrock Minor Hockey League
standings Saturday afternoon in
Luean when they'registered their
second shutout in two weeks by
downing Kensal Park 7-0. Last
week, Exeter defeated Lambeth
by a 6-0 margin,
Larry Willett led Exeter's
scoring attack with three goals.

The second meeting of the
Thrifty Kippenettes was held at
Mrs. Alex McGregor's on Dec,
11 at 1.30. There was a discus-
sion of closets by Grace Chap-
man,

make a hat standard and cover
a hat was given by Mrs. Alex
McGregor

who has been hospitalized three
weeks in Sick Children's Hos-
pital at London, has returned
home improved in health.
The Christmas concert held at
the church last Monday evening
was well attended. Each class
contributed a number to the pro-
gram which was followed by a
Christmas film. Rev. McMillan
was chairman for the evening.

The local girls' team downed
Stratford 3.2 for one victory but
the boys ran into .a little trouble
