Born in Nantwich, England, G/C Powell is a graduate of the University of Toronto where. he obtained his BA in Bi61af and Medical Sciences and later his MD. He interned in Van- couver. During the Second World War, G/C Powell served with the In- dian Army Medical Corps on the northwest frontier, and in the Middle East.
