On Tuesday evening in spite
of inclement weather, a goodly
!number of members attended the
meeting of the Senior Citizens
Club. ."
After a few words of welcome
by the president, Mrs. R. J.
Paterson, the business was con-
ducted, A motion to suspend
meetings during the busy Decem-
ber month was approved and the
club will resume meetings on
January 12. An invitation to
visit the Exeter Senior Citizens
en Tuesday, December 1 was
accepted.
Following the business several
games of progressive euchre
were enjoyed, the game pfizes
oing to Mrs. Alice Joynt, Wit-
hard Buchanan, Mrs. Hugh Mc-
durtrie and R. J. Paterson;
the lone hand prize to Mrs. W.
G. Kennedy and lucky chair prize
to Mrs. Orval Rapson.
Mr.. Frank Harburn, as .chair-
man, introduced the program
with a short address. Miss Gail
Sangster dressed in the Mac-
Pherson tartan, danced the High-
land Fling, while Mr. William
Hyde, eldest senior citizen, gave
some fine violin selections.
Mr, Ed Little showed some of
the colored pictures he had
taken on .his trips through Can-
ada and the Northern United
States, telling where the pic-
tures were taken and any inter-
esting facts in connection. This
was both entertaining and edu-
eational.
Hostesses were Mrs. Rapson
and her committee, Mrs. A.
Joynt, Mrs. William Henry, Mrs.
G. Thompson and Mrs. F. Har-
burn.

right foot, which was also placed

Kinsmen club on Thursday plans
were outlinedfor a house to
house canvass of the village this
Monday December 7 for a pea.
nut drive when peanuts and
mixed nuts will be offered for
sale by the members.
The drive starts at 7 p.m. Pro•
ceeds for Service Work and to
help finance the Bantam and
Midget Hockey teams the club

The Christmas meeting of Hen-
son Warren's Institute will be
held Wednesday, December 9 at
8.15 in the Legion Hall, Rev.

speaker and there will be a
demonstration.
Mrs, Robert Dalrymple, of Eg-
niondville, a former resideht of
this area, expects to leave De-
cember 9 for England to spend
Christmas with relatives.

Over 200 players and support-
ers were in attendance to honor
the •Hensall bantam juvenile
teams in the Community Centre
on Friday evening. The 100E
sponsored the event. Mr, George
Vais was master of ceremonies.
The guest speaker, 11ir, Johnny
Bell of Listowel, past president
of the Western Ontario Athletic
Association, was introduced by
Mr. Ed Corbett and thanked by
Mr. Earl Campbell.
A turkey banquet was served
under the sponsorship of Amlyor
Rebekah Lodge convened by
D1rs. C. Volhard, MMrs. Ed, Cor•
bett and Mrs. E. 0hipchass.
Mr, Percy Campbell moved a
