Mrs. Wickwire
editor's daughter
Mrs. V. J. Wickwire, whose,
maiden name was Margaret V.
White, passed away 'Tuesday at
her home two and a half miles
south of Exeter, in her 94th
year.
Mrs. Wickwire was the young-
est daughter of the late John
White, founder of the Exeter
Times and was the last remain-
ing member of a family of five
sons .and two daughters.
On July 21, 1904,, she was
united in marriage with Frank
Wickwire, at that time connected
with the Exeter Times. in 1954
Mr. and Mrs. Wickwire cele-
brated their golden. wedding an-
niversary.
A sister, Miss Matilda White,

wed 25 years
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Corbett en-

Bort Horton on the occasion of
their 25fh wedding anniversary.
Mrs. :Horton was the former
Alma Seruton of Hensel Fal-
lowing their marriage they re-
sided in Texas later returning
to Hensall. They have one daugh-
ter, Jane, and one son, Bruce.
A turkey dinner for 11 guests

speetor. of Auxiliary classes,
told members of the 1-Iome and
School Association at their meet-
ing Tuesday evening of the work
of classes for children who are
handicapped physically and men-
tally.
He spoke of specific cases and
mentioned various aids that
were available for the blind,
deaf and those children with de-
fective speech and maladjusted
socially. These aids are avail-
able as soon as an auxiliary
class has been formed.

use of slides.
Ile advocated a small enrol-
ment in auxiliary classes sug-
gesting 16 was an ideal number.
The• speaker was introduced by
Inspector G. J, Gemara and
thanked by Mrs. R. D. 5ermin.
Lawrence Wein led in a sing -
ring with Mrs. L. Kleinstiver at
the piano. Parent attendance
awards were Avon by Mrs. D.
Mousseau's and Mrs. Douglas
irughson's rooms. Mrs. W. Hunt-
ley, who, chaired the meting,
won the parent teacher award.1
