school, it probably hasn't been
long enough, but for the mothers,
it is probably a. welcome treat
to have the house to herself
for the day.
Here at the arena, we are
playing host for a short while
to one class of school children.

Last Thursday night saw the
largest attendance yet at the
Legion Auxiliary bingo. Mrs.
Jack Ready (-xf Wean won the
$10 share the wealth,
The $115 jackpot was not won
hut Mr. Clarence Ta 'ior of Exe-
ter won the $5 consolation prize.
Gary Ford, Mrs. Roy Pepper and
Mr. .14 Campbell, all of Exeter,
won a bingo each.
Granion winners included Mrs,
Harold Rawson, Earl French and
Mrs, Don McRoberts (who won
the first part, of the consecutive
bingo). Mrs. Jack Steacy af Lu -
can won the second part and
Mrs. R. Schroeder of Centralia,

dies in- Granton
Mrs. john Parks, 81, died at
her late residence in Granton,
Monday, August 31.
She lay at rest in the C. Has-
kett and Son funeral home here
until 2 p.in, Wednesday when
the Rev. J. 11, Vardy of Gran-
ton conducted funeral services.
Interment was in St. James cem-
etery, Clandeboye.
Mrs. P'arks, the former Isa-
bella Robertson, was the daugh-
ter of Mr, and Mrs. Matthew
Robertson and was born in Scot-
land, After coming to Canada
she lived in London until moving
to Granton nine years ago.
Her only survivor is her hu.
