The following is the prize win-
ning essay written by Judy
Thomson on the annual school
trip for Grade 6, 7 and 8 last
Wednesday. The trip was ar-
ranged by the Ausable Conserva-

chocolate milk for their lunch.
Our trip
Yesterday we had our annual
school trip,, leaving at 9 a.m.
when our guide from the Ausable
River Conservation got here.
We first stopped at a planta-
tion that Sam Smith started some
years ago. Our next stop was the
Parkhill dam site.
Then on to • a gully that T tried
to get down and almost killed my-
self while at it. Rock Glen was
where I had the most fun, Some
'of the children got fossils here.
At the Pinery we went i.n
swimming for about half an hour.
When we came out we had our
lunch and before we knew it we
were on our way to Grand Bend.
When we got there many of
the children bought souvenirs of
the trip. Then we started out for
Exeter to see the new dam there.
We had supper in Exeter at The
Burkley andthen the sad mo-
ment came. We arrived hone at
6:30 p.m. but all in all we had a
lot of fun.
