Drop close game
to New Hamburg
With the help of two Exeter
errors and a booming double off
the bat of first baseman R,
Mashyna in the fourth 'inning,
New Hamburg pee woes gained
a 3-2 victory over Exeter in a
WOAA fixture played in New
Hamburg on Saturday afternoon,
Exeter led the. ball game 2-0
until the bottom of the fourth
when the locals threw it out the
window on a pair of costly mis-
, cues.
The seven -inning game. was a
!real treat to watch as both
hurlers pitched exceptionally
steady ball. Rolly Rumpel ot
Exeterhtossed a neat, two -hitter

i the game's winning pitcher, CW-
Ihert, was just as sharp as he
was only touched for one hit,
that in the third inning by Jackie
Olov er.
R. Mashyna doubled in the
fourth and shortstop Cleary sin-
gled through the box in the first
for the two New Hamburg safe-
, ties.
Mashyna chalked up 10 strike-
outs over the seven inning route
while Rumpel fanned three.

perfect 4-0 win, loss record.
The winners took a 3.0 lead in
the bottom of the third, added
five more runs in the fourth
