Mr. George A. Traylor, of Ilder-
ton, a retired farmer, died in
St, Joseph's Hospital, London,
Thursday, May 28 where he had

solo at the morning service and
Mr. Jim Love took the solo part
in the anthem by the choir un-
der the leadership of Mrs. Mal-
colm. Dougall. The ladies quartet
comprising Miss Hannah Mur-
ray, Mrs. H. Hoy, Miss Pat
Bell and Mrs. Pearl Love sang
at the evening service.
First aid tests
Dr. J. C. Goddard will examine
students on the St. John's Am-
bulance first aid course which
they have been taking for the
past six weeks in the town hall,
on Wednesday, June 10. This
course has been sponsored by
General Coach Works.

Wrestling
draws 300
Over 300 fans enjoyed the
wrestling match held in the
arena on Thursday evening.
The opening bout, one fall, 30
minute time limit, Roger Lick-
ers, of Brantford, versis Karl
Muller, Canadian middleweight
champion. Muller was the win-
ner in 24 minutes with a Canad-
ian overhead surf.

night for a new elub at Port
Dover, $100 was donated to the
Hensall Park Board.
Couple honored
on anniversary
Mr. and Mrs, George -Parker
entertained at their home on
Tuesday evening, for the for-
mer's parents, Ills'. and Mrs.
Harold Parker, on the occasion
of their 27th wedding anniver-
sary. A turkey dinner with ail
thecake. trimming was served, in -
eluding a three-tier wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Parker were the
recipients of many JovelY girls,
presentations being made by
Mrs.George Parker.

Mrs. John Consitt, of Bruce -
field, and formerly of Seaforth,
died :in South Huron. hospital,
Exeter, Friday, May 29, in her
ninety-second year,
The former Agnes Hudson, she
was born, at Hillsgreen.
She was a member of Bruce -
field United Church .and a mem-
er of the Seafot'th Rebekah
odge and L.O.L.
Her husband predeceased her
ome years ago.
Surviving are one son, Roy
Consitt, and one daughter, Mrs.
Charles Farquhar (Emma), both
of Hensall; seven grandchildren,
and 11 great grandchildren;
three sisters, Mrs. William Doug-
las and Mrs, A. Harvey, Bruce -
field, and Mrs. J. Logan, Lon-
don.
Public funeral services were
held from the Bonthron funeral
chapel on Monday, June 1, con-
ducted by Rev. S. Davidson,
with burial in Bayfield ceme-
tery.

Saturday when they captured the Adastral Park Challenge Shield for Huron district
at a 'Cub rally, Although only organized eight months ago, the local pack chalked up
more points than 13 others from the district. The Hensall score was 345 out of 400,

ing met in the United Church
Tuesday evening. Mrs. Howard

Ways and means of transporta-
tion for the Guides to Camp
Keewaydin was discussed.
The year 1960 will be the Gold-
en Jubilee of Guiding. Golden

Canada to honour this jubilee.

Church .entertains
choir, SS teachers
Rev. Chas. D. Daniel of th
United Church welcomed mem
hers of the choir, Sunday Scho
teachers and Mission Band. lead
ers to a turkey banquet Thur
day evening. This was the see
and banquet given by the churc
session for the choir and Sunda
School teachers. The first on
was held in 1957.
Rev. Daniel pointed out tha
the choir was the senior membe
of the church as there had al
ways been a choir since the be-
ginning of the church, but the
Sunday School had only been in
existence for about 150 years,
Mr. Clem Christie, Sunday
School superintendent for the
past two years, thanked the
teachers for their consistent help
and co-operation' and he felt that
arrangements would soon have
to be made to enlarge the Sun-
day School. facilities as the school
membership was growing fast;
they now had nearly 200 students
enrolled with an average attend•
ance of 80 percent.
