she presented All Around Cords
to Guides Fleurette Allaert and
Linda. Lowry at the annual ma-
ther and daughter banquet of
the First RCAF Centralia Girl
Guide Association Wednesday
evening,
"The All Around Cord is the
second highest awardin guiding.
Both girls have earned their
second class and first class bad-
ges and both have contributed
their time and efforts this year
to help in the leadership of Brow-
riies," said Miss Seigner.
As the girls received their,
Cords fellow guides sang the
guiding song "Bravo — Well
Done."
L. T. Syme, chairman of the
group committee, proposed the
toast to the queen and Ann Tho-
mas responded.
Guide Captain %Olev Amos in-
troduced head table guests, Mrs.
A. G. Kenyon; Mrs. T. P. Mc-
1Vlenarnon, president of the mo-
ther's auxiliary; Mr. L. Syme,
chairman of the group commit-
tee; Mrs. R. J. Foster, treas-
urer; Miss Seigner, and Mrs.
Raymond Destobel, district com-
missioner and thanked them al]
for their, behind -the -scenes as-
sistance during the year.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Walters
attended the dog show in Sarnia
on Saturday. Their prize Peking-
ese dog won the prize for the
best of breed in its class and
second prize in the toy group.
Mr, and Mrs. Clarence Hawk-
ins, of Anderson, visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan. Brock on
Sunday. '

Following t h e presentations
June Wheeler led the Brownies
in song, The Guides then sang
`Witchcraft' led by Patrol. Leader
Ann Grayer.
Mothers and daughters gave
a rousing ovation to all fathers
who had served the banquet.
The evening endedwith hum-
ourous movie shorts shown by R.
Marsden.
