Miss Mary Geiger, of London was a weekend guest of Mr, and Mrs, Delbert Geiger, This week in Goshen dy MRS, CLARE McORIDE The Woman's Missionary So- ciety of Goshen United Church met in the church on Thursday evening with Egmondville, Varna and .Kippen societies as special guests, Mrs, Elmer Hayter welcomed the guests, and was assisted in the worship by Mrs. Allan Arm- strong and Mrs, James Keys. During the offering, Mrs. Clare McBride played a trumpet solo, Numbers from the visiting churches included a reading by Mrs. Lyle Hill, Varna; a solo by Mrs. Bruce McGregor, Egmond- ville, and a quartette from Kip- pen, consisting of Mrs. Verne Alderclice, Mrs, Edgar Mcl3ride, Mrs. Harold Jones and Mrs, John Cooper, Mrs, Robert Peck introduced the guest speaker, Miss Clara Clark, who spoke on religious training for children. Miss Clark is the teacher at SS 5, Stanley. Mrs, Arnold Keys thanked every- one who took nart in the pro- gram. The ?ladies were invited for lunch to the basement which was decorated in nink and green. Mrs, Anson McKinley was lunch convener, Mrs. Kenneth Parke did the decorating. Mrs. Allan Armstrong was in charge of the program, and the ushers were Mrs. Richard Robinson ancl Msr, Russel Erratt. The organist for the evening was Mrs: Bruce Keys, Mission Rand Goshen. ,Mission Band held their regular meeting on Sunday morn- ing, with Miss. Clare McBride in charge. Joan Elliott acted as secretary in the absence of Patricia Robinson, The story, "Lost in the Woods," fron the study packet, was read and followed by a poem by Donna Peck. Larry McKinley, Wayne Peck and Bob McBride recited the twenty-third Psabn in uni- son. Comment of the story was given by Jacqueline Peck. Five birthdays were reported.
