Seventy-four year old Louis Rader, Dashwood, former warden of IIur'on county, has
used his skill with a jack knife to depict three centuries of farming. Left are the
oxen which he remembers from early chilclhoocl;r one of the men in this carving is
John Becker, a ,pioneer of the Dashwood area. The horses, centre, represent Mr.
Rader's best days, when he was tnonopo, iziug prizes on the fall fair circuit, helped
by Andrew Easton, Usborne, who was an expert at braiding the mane, The tractor,
which has movable parts, was first bought by Mr. Racier in 1925. F.,xpertly carved, the
human figures in these scenes have such small detail as wrist watches and cigcrs.
