A former resident of Auburn area Russell Bentley passed away this week at Huronview in his 88th year. Sympathy is extended to his family. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hallam were dinner guests on New Year's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cartwright of Auburn. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baechler spent New Year's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Rick Baechler and family of Blyth. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Park spent Christmas with Mr. Anderson's niece Mr. and Mrs. A. Hasson of Oakville and Mr. and Mrs. Don Kai and Mrs. Jas. Jackson also were there. Marjorie McDougall visited on New Year's day with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Toll and family of RR 3, Blyth. Mr. Gerritt Beimers spent Christmas with his brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beimers of Strathroy. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson spent the holidays at Newmarket with their son William. Congratulations to Bryan Gross who was the winner of a color television set from Zehr's store in Wingham. Mr. William Anderson of New- market visited New Year's with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson and they all spent New Ye.r'; nay with Mr. ,-'r!A Mrs Greg - Park. Laura Phillips of Auburn receiv- ed a letter from Regina, Sask. on December 24 that was postmarked December 22. Christmas Eve Service was held at Knox United Church with the Minister Gary T. Shuttleworth in charge. The organist Mrs. Barry Millian, pianist Lori Millian and violinist Christine Bush accompan- ied for the singing of the Carols. The Christ Candle was lit by Rodger Cunningham. Scripture readings were given by Mrs. Wayne Durnin, Nicole Middelkamp, Karen Bakker, Betty Marsh, Anita Gross, Mrs. El Lapp and Linda Cunningham. Junior Choir was under the direction of Mrs. Gordon Gross and Mrs. Allan Webster sang, "0 Come Little Children". Junior and Senior Choirs joined together to sing, "Beautiful Hills of Judea ." Two lovely solos, "Love Came down at Christmas" and "Oh Holy Night" were sung by Mrs. Verlyn Shuttleworth of Chatham. Senior choir rendered a lovely anthem, "Songs at the Stable." Recessional concluded the service with the choir carrying lighted candles from the sanctuary. KNOX UNITED CHURCH SERVICE DEC. 29th Sunday worship in Knox United Church Service was in the charge of the minister Gary T. Shuttleworth. Organ prelude was given by Mrs. Barry Millian. Miss Christine Busch played a selection from her home land Germany on violin with Lori Millian as pianist. The Junior Nelson Monuments Ltd. KNOX UNITED CHURCH SERVICE JAN. 5th Sunday worship service of Knox United Church was in the charge of theaninister Gary T. Shuttleworth with the prelude by Mrs. Barry Millian. The choir sang, "Oh How He Loves You" with Mrs. Barry Millian as pianist. Open House Sessions Will Answer Questions Open House sessions have been planned at convenient times and locations in your munici- pality to afford you the opportunity to review your assessment with staff of the Regional Assessment Office. Rolls Available For Review The Assessment Roll will be available for review at your local municipal office during regular business hours, beginning February 12th, 1986. If You Wish To Appeal If you believe you have been improperly assessed in any way, you may file a formal complaint with the Assessment Review Board. The final date for filing an appeal is March 4th, 1986. Information on appeal procedures is provided on the back of your Assessment Notice and in the Information Insert.
