Nominations Wanted We welcome your nomination for these citizenships awards. Please fill in the ballot with the name of your nominee, why you feel he or she should win the award and your own name and telephone number. (Names of all nominators will be kept confidential). Nominees can be from the villages themselves or the surrounding townships and can have made their contribution either directly (through local politics, club work, etc.) or in a more general way (eg. Long-term service to many organizations, work with the environment, or with farm organizations, etc.) Entries will be judged by an independent panel. Campbell family gathers Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cottrill and Shawn, Dale Lamont, Mrs. Clara Fernedas, Vincent, Carey and Terry of London visited over Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lamont. They all spent Christmas evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McCrea and Mrs. Winnie Vincent of Blyth. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent spent a few days during Christmas week with their son and daughter- in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Vincent of Milton and their son Paul Vincent in Burlington. Mrs. Elizabeth Procter spent Tuesday, Wednesday and Thurs- day at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zettler, Sherry and twins Amanda and Alicia of RR 4, Walkerton. Also visiting at the same home on Boxing Day were: Mr. and Mrs. Larry Mayberry, Marilyn, Kim- berly and Darryl of Londesboro; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hill, Jeffery, Richard and Robbie of RR 1, Tavistock; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Procter, Karen and Kevin of RR 5, Brussels; Mr. Doug Townley and Kristen of Welland and Marjorie Procter of London. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Ball, Mat- thew and Alicia of Hanover, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Roy of Lakefield, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson of Goderich, Miss Sheila Anderson of Waterloo spent several days dur- ing the Christmas holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Leitch, Julie and Jeff of London, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin of Ilderton, were Christmas holiday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby. Mrs. Laura Johnston visited at the same home on Boxing Day. Mr. and Mrs. Len Zevenbergen, Shane, Glen and Don spent Christmas with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Camp. Barbara Coultes of Toronto spent Christmas week with her mother Mrs. Janisa Coultes. Miss Margaret McLaughlin of Ottawa visited Saturday afternoon January 4 with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. Art Hagerman of Beaton, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mali, Taylor and Michael of RR 3, Holyrood, Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, Michelle and Danielle of RR 2, Lucknow, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Taylor, Trisha and Sherry of RR 5, Wingham, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gordon, Robert and Margie of Belgrave were New Year's dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor. Mrs. Walter Scott; Mrs. Flor- enceCoultes; Mr. Clifford Coultes; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Campbell and boys; Mrs. Mae Scott, Ian, Ralph and Lorne of RR 3, Blyth were New Year's visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott and Jeff. Miss Melanie Scott of Toronto and Miss Meribeth Scott of London spent Christmas week at the home of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent, Mrs. Dorothy Logan and Mr. Harold Vincent attended the funer- al of their cousin Mr. Russel Bentley at the Ball-Falconer Fun- eral Home in Clinton. New Year's guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnston of Blyth, Mrs. Irlma Edgar of Wing- ham, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cortes of Tavistock, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edgar and Don of RR 4, Wingham. Tabitha Pattison, of RR 3, Wingham and Karen Marks of Belgrave spent a couple of days last week with their grandmother Mrs. Roy Pattison. Mrs. Bert Johnston spent Sun- day afternoon with her cousins Mr. and Mrs. Edward Watson of Blyth. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Watson of Forest spent a couple of days in the New Year holidays with their sister-in-law Mrs. Roy Pattison. Mrs. Margaret Dunbar spent the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dunbar and family of Stratford. Marjorie Procter of London spent a few days with her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter and also attended the Kelly and Procter family get to-gether on New Year's Day in the Belgrave Community Centre. A pot luck dinner at 4:00 p.m. was enjoyed by all. Thirty-two relatives were present from: Lon- don, Kitchener, Londesboro, Blyth and the Belgrave area. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Barbour and The Campbell family met in the W.I. hall on Sunday, December 29 for a pot-luck meal and a slide show. After singing Christmas carols, Santa distributed gifts and candy bags to the children. son Mark of Brussels and Mrs. Jack McBurney spent New Year's Day with Miss Gail Barbour of Chesley. Mr. and Mrs. Art Hagerman of Beaton spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor. A Family Night will be held at the Belgrave Community Centre on Saturday, January 11 starting at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Walter Scott returned home after spending two weeks with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Alan Scotland family of Sebringville. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson and Sherri of Barrie; Dr. and Mrs. Ray Nicholson of Morrisburg; Mr.-and Mrs. Glyn Wide, Kimberly, Jenni- fer and Trevor of Hamilton; and Rob Nicholson and Pat Schnurr of Hanover visited over the holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Garner Nicholson. The night wasn't the best for travelling but 10 tables of euchre were played at the Ethel W.I. Christmas Euchre. Pat Keffer, Beryl Smith and Dorothy Hamilton held lucky Christmas sticker cards. Muriel Hamilton won the door prize donated by Thelma Keifer. Many other names were drawn for prizes donated by the Ethel W.I. members. Clifford Stevens won the draw for a lovely big fruit basket. Joanne Veldhorst, youngest daughter of John and Bette Veldhorst, RR 2, Bluevale has completed her nursing course at Stratford and has accepted a position at a Toronto hospital. Henk and Dianne (den Dekker) de Jong have moved from the fourth concession of Grey to a farm near Gorrie.
