Hullett students attend council

Hullett seeks
meeting
on Auburn
Hullett council decided to ar-
range a meeting to discuss govern-
ment in Auburn when the council
metin special sessionDec. 18 in
Londesboro.
The council asked Clerk Harry
Lear to arrange a meeting with the
Auburn Trustees, East and West
Wawanosh and Hullett township
councils and representatives of the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs to
discuss responsibilities in Auburn.
Council authorized the road
superintendent to place an adver-
tisement in the paper saying the
township would not be responsible
for damage to parked cars and mail
boxes and warning people not to
blow or push snow onto township
roads.
The road superintendent was
also authorized to call tenders for a
new four-wheel-drive, half-ton
pick-up truck.
Council passed a by-law to
authorize execution of the agree-
ment with the Seaforth Community
Centre for operating and manage-
ment for 1986, 1987 and 1988.
Council concurred with a resolu-
tion from the Township of London
regarding Workmen's Compensa-
tion coverage for firemen for heart
problems associated with stress
problems stemming from fire duty.
The Grade 8 class from Hullett
Public School was in attendance for
the swearing in of the new council
at the inaugural meeting of Hullett
Township Council on December 3.
Council passed aby-lawtoset
the borrowing rate for the township
at $385,000 for 1986. The rate is set
annually to put an upper limit on
the amount of money the township
may borrow in a given year.
Council instructed the clerk to
notify Don Greidanus the fence he
was installed on township, Side-
road 30 - 31, is to be removed by
December 15, as it interferes with
snow removal.

A large number enjoyed the
Hullett Central Public School
Christmas program. Principal Ron
Jewitt. welcomed all. Pre-concert
music by the Senior Band with
director Barb Bosman was enjoy-
ed. Numbers were presented by
Grades 1 to 6 with dancing, skits,
square dancing, songs and chorus-
es. Everyone showed their appre-
ciation.

Masonic Lodge Officers. It should
have read 1 PM, Alan Caldwell, not
