The regular meeting of the
Council of the Township of Grey
was held in the Municipal office on
December 16, 1985 at 10:00 a.m.
Council passed By-law 24-1985

On Sunday, December 15 the
church was nicely decorated with
poinsettias and a colorful tree.
Baskets of flowers were placed in
the church from the funeral on
Saturday of the late Earl Dunn,
Listowel.
The Bentley family had an early
Christmas on Dec. 15 in the
Cranbrook Community Centre.
The Smith families are having
their Christmas get together in the
Community Centre on Saturday,
Dec. 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Knight
arrived home from Panama City
which enters the Township of Grey
into a Recreation Agreement with
the Township of Morris and the
Village of Brussels.
An assistant to the Clerk-Trea-
Beach, Florida on Dec. 13 to spend
Christmas with their family. They
plan on returning to Florida on
January 1.
Miss Nancy Jean Craig, Toron-
to, spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Conley and attended
their 50th anniversary party in the
Brussels, Morris and Grey Arena
on Dec. 14. Many people in the
community were present to help
the Conley's celebrate this memor-
able occasion.

Christmas and a Happy and
Prosperous New Year.

being noon on January 6, 1986.
General accounts amounting to
$25,740.84, road accounts amount-
ing to $11,973.80 and drain
accounts amounting to $1,297.43
were approved for payment.
A pot-luck lunch was enjoyed by
Council and employees at which
time a pen and pencil set was
presented to Reeve Armstrong on
the occasion of her election to the
post of Warden of Huron County.
The next regular meeting was
set for Monday, January 6, 1986 at
10:00 a.m. in the Township Council
Chamber.

The Township of East Wawanosh and Snow Plowmen
SHALL NOT be responsible for damage of vehicles or mail
boxes left in the way of snowplow. Ratepayers will be
responsible for any accident or damages to snowplow caused
by snow thrown on to highway, and will be responsible if it
has to be removed.
UnderSection 147, SS1O "The Highway Traffic Act"; "No
persons shall park or stand a vehicle on a highway in such a
manner as to interfere with movement of traffic or interfere
with clearing of Highway".
Any vehicle left in such a manner as to interfere with
clearing of snow from highway SHALL be towed away at
owner's expense.

Families plan early
Christmas celebrations
Driver pleads guilty after car chase
The driver of a car involved in a
collision which claimed three lives
late last summer has pleaded
guilty to a charge of criminal
negligence causing death.
Appearing at Walkerton provin-
cial court Kevin Koehler, 20, of RR
5, Brussels, entered a guilty plea to
the charge. In return two lesser
charges of criminal negligence
causing injury and failing to stop
for police were withdrawn.
He was remanded in custody at
the Walkerton Jail for sentencing
Jan. 9.
Mr. Koehler was the driver of a
car which collided with a provincial
police cruiser at Kinloss Aug. 3,
killing two passengers in his
vehicle as well as a provincial
constable.
