Village of Blyth Reeve Albert Wasson BLYTH NEWS People around Blyth Many Blyth people going to and from the Post Office have paused during the last two months to gaze in amazement at the transforma- tion that renovations were making on the old house on Drummond St. W. purchased by Larry and Barbara Walsh. The work is completed. At the rear of the building now covered with white vinyl siding, there is an open landing with deck floor which leads to an enlarged kitchen. A modern deck at the front had replaced an old porch. Another improvement on Drum- mond St. E. is the work being done on the Riehl residence by the Riehl's son, Melvin of London. It is nearing completion. One large room displays a cathedral ceiling, and several new windows have been added, bring- ing the total number to twelve. Mrs. Alice (Rogerson) Jeffries of Churchill, accompanied by her cousin Betty Oldreive of Toronto, recently visited her friend Louise Buttell at Brae Lodge in Wingham. The ladies also called on friends in Blyth and were dinner and over- night guests of Jim and Janet Lawrie. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1985. PAGE 3. James F.
