Brussels Starlets win prizes at area competition
The Autumnfest Majorette
Competition was held Saturday,
November 2 at the Brussels Public
School. Majorettes from the Brus-
sels Starlets, the Wingham Cana-
dettes and the Keady Highstepp-
ers took part.
In the duet class the first place
trophies went to Deb Clark and
Hailey Robertson of the Cana-
dettes. Michelle McNeil and Lara
Parker of Brussels placed second
and third went to Tracy Finch and
Sibylle Menzi also members of the
Brussels Corps.
In the 0 - 5 basic march class first
and third went to the Keady
Highsteppers and second to Wing-
ham. Basic march 6 - 9 was won by
Angela McKee ofTara. Carolyn
Elston of Wingham was second
and Angie Yoon of Brussels third.
In the Parade March 6 - 9, Brussels
took all the trophies with Deena
Rapp first, Angie Yoon second and
Kim Mulvey third.
Solo twirl in this age category
was also dominated by the Starlets
with Deena Rapp first, Angie
Yoon, second, and Amy Thomas,
third. Dance and Twirl by the 6 - 9
group again saw Deena Rapp out in
front, Amy Thomas, second and
Angie Yoon, third in a field of ten
twirlers. _
class, the Wingham girls took first,
second and third with the trophies
going to Halley Robertson, Shann-
on Robinson, and Lisa Chapman
respectively.
In the 10 - 12 Parade March,
Hailey Robertson again placed
first with Lisa Chapman second
and Tracy Finch of Brussels third.
Solo Twirl 10 - 12 was won by
Tracy Finch of Brussels with
Hailey Robertson of Wingham,
second and Sibylle Menzi of
Brussels, third.
The 10 - 12 Dance and Twirl
Class saw Lisa Chapman on top
with Hailey Robertson second and
