THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1985. HEIBEIN-SOUCH Sherry Heibein and Gary Souch were married Saturday, August 31, 1985 at Brussels Presbyterian church by the Reverend Jamieson. The bride is the daughter of Lloyd and Violet Heibein of Brussels and the groom is the son of Bill and Deloris Souch of R.R. #2, Blyth. Maid of honour was Brenda Gordon, friend of the bride and bridesmaids were Wendy Heibein and Janet Mitchell, sisters of the bride and Linda Boyer, sister of the groom. Best man was David Diehl, friend of the groom. David Souch brother of the groom, Randy Boyer and Jeff Heibein, brother of the bride were ushers. The ringbearer was Robert Mitchell, nephew of the bride and the flowergirl was Tracy McTavish, cousin to the bride. The couple now reside at R.R. # 4, Brussels. After welcoming everyone to the church Rev. Robin Lyons spoke to the children before they went down to Sunday School. He explained the Advent Wreath and the meaning of the five candles, with little Jeff Finch lighting the first candle. The first lesson was taken from the Prophet of Jeremiah Ch. 3, V 19. The choir sang "Your Life", "Your Love", "You Lord." The second lesson was from Luke 21. V. 25. The sermon taken from the word "Parousia" meaning first, faith and second, What makes Chris- tians different from others in the world. We are to prepare ourselves in making decisions and prepara- tions for the coming of Christ. Blyth United Church news Fred Howson and Myrtle Vodd- en greeted the congregation at Blyth United Church Sunday, Dec.- Ushers for the service were Everett and Sandra Hessels, Mary Howson and Alan Young. Sacrament was served by Fred and Bill Howson, Albert Wasson, Adeline Campbell, Marjorie Mc- Nall, Earl Fyfe, Vera Badley and Lavern Clark. Adeline Campbell read the minutes of the September Execu- tive meeting and October General meeting. Mary Wightman gave a thorough report of finances to the Townsend when he presides at the Baptism of Jonathan James Lyons. The Rector will endeavour to provide communion to any shut-ins or otherwise prevented from mak- ing the Christmas Communion at the Parish Celebrations.
