It has been an honour and a pleasure to serve the people of Grey Township as your Reeve for the past four years and I do appreciate the confidence you have placed in me by acclaiming me for another term of office. I look forward to working with our new Clerk, Brad Knight and the members of the Grey Township Council - Lyle Pettapiece, Fred Uhler, Helen Cullen and Graeme MacDonald. I will continue to serve you to the best of my ability. I am really excited about being a candidate for the position of Warden for Huron County for 1986. If elected please accept this as your personal invitation to attend a reception in the Goderich and District -Community Centre on Tuesday, December 10th at 9 p.m. Leona Armstrong, Reeve, Township of Grey BY BOB MURPHY The Huron County Board of Health has defined the areas it has allocated to nursing agencies providing public health services to the county. The board made county council aware of its decision in a report made to the retiring council at its last session Thursday. There are two nursing agencies which provide such services for the county -- the Victorian Order of Nurses and Community Nursing Services. The board has authorized that VON will be responsible for that portion of the county south of County council joins call for end to education strikes BY BOB MURPHY The Town of Durham can add Huron County council to the growing list of supporters for its resolution urging the provincial government to declare teachers as provoding an essential service and therefore not permitted to strike nor to be locked out by a school board. County council passed a resolu- tion Thursday to support Dur- ham's stand on the issue. Durham has been seeking sup- port of all municipal governments for the resolution which requests the Province of Ontario to amend the School Boards and Teachers Collective Negotiating Act to provide that where an agreement can not be negotiated between a bargaining unit of a teacher's federation and a school board, the matter must be resolved by binding arbitration. Highway 8, including the Town of Goderich, while CNS will be responsible for covering the area north of Highway 8, including the Town of Clinton. By using Highway 8 as the dividing line, the board feels that it maintains the previous allocation of cases, leaves each agency with urban areas and provides a clear cut dividing line. Approximate population in the VON coverage area is 29,200 with 15,200 considered urban. In the area covered by CNS the figures are 26,000 with 7,900 considered urban. *Microwave Ovens•Dishwashers•Toys•Clocks*Fireplace Tool Set•China ol • .ct Looking for a place CA.< Q. l▪ a .
