LISE-BENJA_MiNS Thankful to the Lord, who brought them together, Sandra Mary Lise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lise of R.R. 3, Moorefield and John Simon Benjamins, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Benjamins of R.R. 1, Blyth were married on October 5, 1985 at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church with Rev. D. Velthuizen officiating. Matron of honour was Sylvia Passchier, sisterof bride. Bridesmaids were Evelyn Knetch, sister of groom and Bernice Hesselink, friend of bride. The flowergirl was Judy Knetch, niece of groom. Best man was Don Bakelaar, friend of groom. Ushers were Jerry Benjamins, brother of groom and Charles Use, brother of bride. The ringbearer was Brian Lubbers, nephew of groom. The organist was Mr. A. Takema of Drayton. Masters of Ceremonies were Andy Knetch of Drayton, brother-in-law of groom, and Luke Lise of Palmerston, cousin of bride. The reception was held at the Moorefield Community Centre. The couple would like to say a special thank you to the bride's grandmother who came from Holland. Youth group formed at Church of God A youth group was formed recently at the Blyth Church of God, to meet on Friday nights. Some "older young people" have become concerned that the younger ones have opportunity to have fun times, as well as the learning times, in a Christian atmosphere, so have organized a group of pre-teens, who plan to enjoy films, bowling, skating, swimming, etc. together. A letter to the parents, explain- ing the program, and asking for their suggestions and participation if possible, was sent home with the children the first night, and each night they meet, a note will be sent home advising the parents of the next week's activities. of Daniel, verses 13 and 14 for the first lesson the first chapter of the Revolation of St. John beginning at Greeting the congregation were Evalina Webster and Terry Rich- mond. Church School Christmas Practice will be Satur- day at 4 o'clock. the fourth verse for Lesson Two. The sermon was from St. John 18, verse 33, Festival of Christ the King, the Kingship of Christ and the understanding and prepara- tion of Advent and the coming of Christ. Prayers were said for Annie Thynne and family, Annie Harris, Lilly Hudie and all others in need. The Sunday School classes joined the congregation for the celebrating of Holy Eucharist. December 9 will be "White Gift Service" for the needy. The Advent and Christmas Envelopes will be given out next Sunday. Anyone wishing to give to the Sunshine boxes are asked to do so during the next three weeks. The Youth Group are meeting the first and third Sunday of each month at Blyth Rectory. Rev. Lyons, Lois and Forrest Whittard attended Synod in London on Saturday.
