In charge of worship was Mrs. Frances Head dies Frances May (Good) Head pass- ed away at her residence on Monday, November 11,1985 in her 68th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold J. Head and the late William A. Miller. Dear mother of James Miller and Marion Ruth Miller, both of London. She is survived by one sister Gladys Campbell of Blyth and brother Russell Good of Londesborough. Funeral services were conduct- ed by Rev. John Campbell of the Church of God, London. Interment in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. W .M.S. meets The November meeting of the Presbyterian Women's Mission- ary Society was held in the afternoon at the home of Mrs. Donald Cartwright. The president, Mrs. Martha Daer presided and welcomed all present. The devotional period was in the charge of Mrs. Viola Raithby who had the meditation on Re- membrance. Mrs. Frances Clark had the study and gave the topic on Ecuador Sight and Insight. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Frances Clark. Tom Lawlor, Mrs. Donald Young, Mrs. John Durnin. "In Flanders Field" used as a call to worship . Marjorie McDougall was pianist for the hymns, "Fight The Good Fight" and "Faith of Our Fath- ers." Guest speaker was Miss Glenice Marie Young. She presented an interesting talk on her work as a candy-striper in hospital - the requirements, pledge and a sum- mary of a day's work. Mrs. Durnin read a poem "Who will take care of Grandma". President, Miss Betty Marsh dealt with the business and visiting for this month. The jars were turned in from this year's project. There will be no December meeting as members will meet with Unit II for a general Christmas meeting. All reports are to be brought in that day. The convenors entertained for a social time. Euchre winners named Euchre results for November 13 were: high lady, Dorothy Grange; low lady, Marg. Robison; high man, Tom Hallam; low man, Warner Andrews; and novelty, Jane Glousher. Euchre parties are held every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the community hall. Everyone is wel- come. Mary Rollinson is 97 Mr. and Mrs. Alf Weston of Torontovisited with her mother Mrs. Mary Rollison and brother Murray. Mrs. Rollison celebrated her 97 birthday on Monday. Congratulations go out to her. Mrs. Murray Blacker of Strat- ford visited with Mrs. Lillian Leatherland for a few days. Sympathy goes out to the Heffron family of Blyth on the death of Art. He was a cattle drover in and around the Auburn area. Miss Yvonne Bean of Toronto visited on the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bean. The Booster Club held a very successful bake sale and bazaar on Saturday at the Community Hall with 30 exhibitors showing their crafts. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lawrence who celebrated their 45th Anniversary on Sunday, November 17 with open house at Auburn Community Hall. • Knox United Church news Organ Prelude was by Mrs. Gordon Gross. The choir sang, "Seek Ye First" accompanied by Steven Millian on saxophone and Mrs. Barry Millian as pianist. Junior Congregation was in the charge of Mrs. Fred Armstrong, Donna Lynn and Ruth Anne Armstrong and Shelley Worsell. The minister Gary T. Shuttle- worth chose for his sermon, "The Glorious Return".
