SCOTT-CLARK
On October 12, Robert Laurence Scott and Brenda Sue Clark were
married in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Ken Bauman at
the home of the groom's parents Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Scott of Blyth.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Helen Fleming of Kinburn. The
bride's friend Debra Wain of Bayfield was matron of honour. Brother
of the groom Don Scott of Auburn was best man. John Fleming of
Kinburn, brother of the bride ushered. Following the wedding trip to
Northern Ontario they have taken up residence on the 8th line of

Brussels W.M.S.
holds meeting
The November meeting of Mel-
ville W.M.S. was held in the
church parlor with a good attend-
ance.
Mrs. MacLeod, the president,
opened the meeting with a poem
"God give me a pure spirit." The
hymn, "Great is they faithful-
ness" was sung with Mrs. King at
the piano.
The secretary's report was given
by Ruby Steiss and the treasurer's
report by Evelyn Mair. The
subscriptions for Glad Tidings was
taken by Mrs. Mair in the absence
of Mrs. Perrie.
Mrs. Ruth Martin gave a report
from the nominating commitee.
The collection was taken by Mrs.
Mair and dedicated by Mrs.
MacLeod. Ruby Steics gave a story
about a woman's ministry on
"watering camels is spiritual".
The song "His name is wonderful"
was sung. Mrs. Stephens gave a
reading from the Glad Tidings on
Refugees in Canada. A duet was
sung by Mary Donma and Peggy
Aitcheson on "The Love of God".
The scripture from Romans was
read by Helen Elliott. Isabelle
Adams led in prayer. Isabelle

Church
news
Terry Richmond and Ray Madill
greeted the congregation at Blyth
United Church for the Sunday
Service. Ushers were Ernie and
Emily Philipps, Karen and Leslie.
Rev. Bauman took as his sermon
Mission and Service and Christian
Stewardship after which a film was
shown.
The Harvest Bonanza (used
clothing sale and silent auction)
bidding begins Wednesday from 2
- 8; Thursday 2 - 8; and Friday 2 - 6.
There will be a Saturday bazaar,
bake sale and tea.
The Church School staff is now
completed. The superintendent
team consists of Lori Appleby,
Joan Caldwell and Susan Howson,
assistants Joanne and Heather
Bauman.
Gibson gave an introduction to the
film "Banners of Love". Mrs.
MacLeod run the film and after-
wards had a discussion on Bible
and Medical Missionaries. The
hymn "Christ to the world we
sing" was sung. Mrs. Jamieson
closed the meeting with prayer.
A dainty lunch was served by
Mrs. Elliott and her helpers and a
social time enjoyed.
