Festival boasts 3 hits Three big hits highlighted the past season at the Blyth Festival. Primrose School District 109 topped attendance at the Festival's I I th season drawing audiences at 90 per cent of capacity. The return hit, Garrison's Garage by Ted Johns which finished up the season averaged 88.6 per cent of capacity. The show is presently on tour in New Brunswick. Moose County, Colleen Curran's comedy conflict between modern farming pratices using chemicals and environmentalists drew 86.3 per cent of capacity. "I am very happy with my first season as artistic director" said Katherine Kaszas. "We did three completely new plays, one bilingual play (French and English) and brought back last year's hit. Doing new plays is a very risky business and it's always exciting when our theatregoers demonstrate their ap- proval of the choices we've made." Plans are already underway for the next year and vouchers are now on sale at a cost of $28 for four admissions, a saving of up to 30 per cent over the price of a single ticket next summer. This year the Festival increased voucher sales by 100 per cent and actually ran out of subscription forms.
