euchre party
Eight tables were in play at the
weekly euchre which was held in the
W.I. Hall Wednesday, October 16.
Winners were: high lady, Mrs.
Ronnie Coultes; low lady, Mrs. Eva
McGill; novelty lady, Mrs. George
Drehmann; high man, Wilford
Caslick; low man, Mrs. Jim Coultes
(playing as a man); novelty man,
Mrs. Verena Bone (playing as a
man).
There will be euchre again this

The election of officers for the
1985-86year was held at the home of
Mrs. Marilyn Bridge on October 17.

ed the official opening of the Morris
Township Municipal office and work
garage Saturday, October 19.
Rev. John G. Roberts of Knox
United Church, Belgrave participat-
ed in the opening ceremony by
dedicating the building.
Rev. John G. Roberts was guest
speaker for the Anniversary service
at Greenway United Church Sunday
morning.
Professor W. A. Andrews of
Toronto was in charge of the service
at Calvin-Brick United Church at 10
a.m. and at Knox United Church
Belgrave at 11.15 a.m.
Miss Joanne Webb and Marjorie
Procter of London visited over the
weekend with Marjorie's mother
Mrs. Elizabeth Procter.
Mrs. William Coultes was the
speaker at a special U.C.W. service
at the Wingham United Church on
Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Miculan of
Stoney Creek, Mr. Howard Roberts
and Miss Colleen O'Hara of Hamil-
ton spent Thanksgiving weekend
with their parents Rev. and Mrs.
John Roberts.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rath of
Mossley called on their cousins Mr.

At the September meeting the
club donated $25 to the Belgrave
Brownie Club.

4-H club meets
The 46 meeting of the Belgrave
Club was held October 8 at 7 p.m. in
the W.I. Hall.
The meeting was opened with the
4-H pledge then the roll call which
was "comment on the pie you made
at home and what adjustments
would you make if you made • it
again."
The club then split into three
groups and made pumpkin cake,
chocolate cake and orange cake.
While these were baking the girls
read over the meeting and discussed
their bake sale which is to be held
November 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the W.I.
Hall.
After the members tasted' the
orange and pumpkin cakes the
meeting was closed with the 4-H
motto.
