Need Sewers ?
To the Editor:
Regarding proposed setters
for the stain section of Grand
Bend, J. world like to express
my opinion and the thoughts. of
many other village taxpayers.
First, if the village were to
connect to the proposed Lake
Huron ater pipeline to London,
it would provide pure drinking
water, then there would be no
alarm for an •epidentie breaking
out, which seems to be the sole
purpose for sewage installation.
Second, we would have fire
protection, which is more essen-
tial. Grand Bend has been very
fortunate that a major fire has
not wiped out the stain section
of the village.
We think that all the land
that is now used for septic
tanks and water wells should
be used solely for septic tanks
and drat
• g.
na e.
There is b only about two or
three per cent of the taxpayers
in favor and want sewers. We
think it would he very unfair to
the remainder of taxpayers to
have to contribute via their tax
bills, no,matter how many years
the debentures are issued for.
Away' •
Should not there be a vote of
the taxpayers to decide this
issue, or is it going 10 be forced
on us? TAXPAYER*
