Another one of the large
:church sheds in the district is
to be„dismantled and taken
down. This one is the big shed
of the Evangelical U',:8, Church,
Zurich, -which has been said,
that is- the framework, leaving
the bare walls to be demolished
later.
Not so many years ago the
church with one of these sheds
would house the' horses of the
community when farmers came
to town, and was a comfortable
place for them. But the shed was
a.t no time as popular as when
that ananual fowl supper made
its appearance in the fall of the
year. As many as 1,200 people
partook pf this annual event.
People came from Detroit, Kit-
chener, London, 'Stratford and
many other, places for the big
meal and program offered,
Plan Anniversary ,
Sunday, November 2 is the
date set for the eighty-fourth
anniversary of the Zurich Evan-
gelical U.B. Church. Services
will be both morning apd eve-
ning, 10 a,m,. .and. 7:20 p.m: re-
spectively, The guest speaker
for the day will be Rev. L. A.
Dorsch, of Milverton. The church
choir and men's chorus will fur-
nish special numbers.
