In fact, the victory seemed to be so convincing to the Miilmay managerial and coaching staff, that the Mildmay entry failed to show up for the balance of the best -of -three series which was au- tomatically awarded to the Hen, sail nine. The winners pounded out nine base hits, including a round - tripper by Jack Chipchase, to spark their 14 -run uprising, Hen - sail wasted little time in getting started by rolling into a 3-0 sec- ond inning lead When eight men came to the plate before the side could be retired. Timely hitting sent the Hensall nine wheeling into a comfortable 6-0 lead as they scored two more in the third and. added one in the fifth. They coasted home on a pair in the seventh, four in the eighth and two more in the ninth. Second baseman Dennis Mock and leftfielder Harry Moir paced the attack with' two hits apiece. Larry Jones, Bill. Shaddick, Bob Mickle, Robert McNaughton and Chipchase each connected for a single safety to round out the nine -hit spree. 'Chipchase provided his circuit clout in the top of the ninth inn- ing to straightaway centre field. Steve Kyle, who was on first base because of a walk at the time, rode home. Fires A Two -Hitter! Steve Kyle paved the way for the win by throwing a neat two hitter at the Mildmay club. The number one hurler •of the Hen - sail hound staff was bidding for a no-hitter up until the fifth inn- ing when shortstop Erie Weiler drilled a sharp single into left field, The second. Mildmay safety fell'to Bruce Weber in the bottom of the ninth when Mildmay made their last stab for a victory, In going the nine inning route Kyle whiffed 12 Mildmay hatters and was griever in serious trouble throughout the contest, H,GNSA)..f. ,1T4 B 1-5 1') tarry ioncr, rt _.._» 4 n 1 (1 HarryMoir, 1f _ a 1 2 o Stere 1`........ yte, p . ,Lack ("h1rrhase o 5 2 1 0 'Arrive 'Horton 1b 4 1 0 1 fi111 Shaddlck, Ss .... 4 { 1 0 13oh ; l ekle, r f ., a 3 1 rr 'Donnie Mork, •2h 5 2 2 0 Rob's McNrrugbtoh, 1h ; 0 1 0 TOTALS 14 14 0 1: Strr,')bfA'r .1'01 n 14 1: /son T,fesman, 2h 4 0 0 1 E.
