Several people in the know
are calling Doug Crossley a
Canadian version of Pat Dome;
clean Rut and smooth voiced.
Viewers had a chance to see
Doug nationally on Friday night's
edition .of "Country Club" and
the response was good.
I first met Doug last winter
when he was preparing an audi-
tion far the Godfrey show and
he has all the attributes a teen-
age fan usually wants; good
looks, sauve manners and a fine
voice. Now that he's broken the
sound harrier and has appeared
on a coast-to-coast hook-up he
should go far.
Lorraine Foreman might not
be hack with the rest of the
'Country Coedown ' east in the
fall. She has expressed a desire
to get away from western music.
Whether CBC places her else-
where or not might help affect
her decision. I doubt very much.
