Londoners Claims
Injured Pigeon •
A white pigeon wounded in the
right wing found by Bobby
Smale, 13, on main street, with
band around its leg and num-
bered, has been claimed., The
owner, Jim Whitworth of Lon-
don, has claimed it.
He- has a flock of racing
pigeons which he has been rac-
ing for four years. This'- one,
gone for one month, was the
only one missing from his flock.
He races them as far as Mont-
real and' they always return.
He was thrilled to get the
pigeon back and he thinks the in-
jury was caused by the bird
striking a wire.
Bobby will receive a pair of
pigeons in the fall from Mr.
Whitworth for his kindness to
the pigeon.
