In commenting on the market- ing of hogs 1 would point out that, if this present system of selling is ended we will not re- turn to the former trucker -ship- per method. There are already a large number of hogs being produced on contract. Without the present marketing system these hogs would be the property of the processor and therefore no selling on the part of the pro- ducer would be possible. In years past there were nume- rous poultry dealers covering the country buyin poultry of all kinds. These 'eaters have practically disappeared with the introduction of contract raising of broilers. The sanie will hap. pen very rapidly in the hog In- dustry. Vie closing of the canning fac- tories in Exeter and Forest should be a warning to all pro- ducers of the dangers of con- tract farming. At the present time the sane thing could happen very easily to broiler producers. Used Farm Equipren Bargains 1-45 HAY BALER. Complete with all extras. 1--T.H.C.
