Smelt Run Still Coming Game .overseer Hank Greene, Exeter, reported the first big run of smelt in this area Tues- day night. Several airmen S v l from BCAF .e Station Centralia netted about 15 gallons of smelt in about an hour Tuesday night. '.rhe run came between midnight and one o'clock. Despite the size of their catch, the airmen weren't happy about the condition of the fish. Over half of them, they reported to the game official, were "just full of worms." District fisherman, w h o ` covered different points from Grand Bend to Goderich had little luck in catching an abun- dant supply of smelt this past week. Although some came home with half a pail full or so, the main run isn't .expected to take place until the end of this week,, Suckers are in a plentiful supply around the district as many ardent sportsmen have been able to catch all they've wanted and many more besides.
