sociation of Consumers to take

packaged cereals, soap and soap
Powders to discontinue the prate
Ike .of Issuing premiums. prizes
and coupons. Consumers do not
like and do not want this type of
sales promotion. They want 'able
for their dollars in the product
itself --- net in prizes and prem-
iums.
As a result of a resolution at
the annual meeting, the national
president sent a letter to over
200 manufacturers of cereals,.
soaps and soap powders in Can-:
ada informing therm of the oppo-
sition of the consumers to their
present policy of issuing prem-
iums and coupons. and (AC
urges shoppers to get full value
eor their dollar and avoid Prod-
ucts whose prices are kept up
by coupons and premiums which
increase the cost of the products
and keep up the price to the
consumer.

AID FIGHT AGAINST CANCER -Work of the .women's
service committee is one of the vital phases of the pro-
gram of the local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Lathes provide various kinds of assistance far patients in
the arca. Above, members of the Kippen East Women's
Institute help the local committee make dressings which
are provided free of charge. Funds for the financing of
welfare work, as well as research and education, are being
sought this month in the April campaign conducted by

ficiating clergyman for the dou-
ble ring ceremony and Mrs.

wedding music and accompanied
the soloist, Mr. Ilarry Hoffman
who sang the "Lord's Prayer"
and "Wedding Prayer."
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a drew
of white net over taffeta with
bolero jacket of french lace. A
headdress of pearls held ' her
fingertip veil of illusion with
satin applique. She carried a
bouquet of red roses and white
chrysanthemums.
Her attendants were her sister,
Carole, a5 maid of honor and
her Cousin, Helen Horner, Zurich,
and Donna Harather, as brides-
maids. They were ;,owned alike
in aqua velvet with matching
accessories and bouquets of yel-
low onus.

A reception was held at the

thur Rundle, son of Air. and Mrs.

the ceremony, and Mrs, Kenneth
Hodgins players traditional wed-
ding music and accompanied the.

dress of embroidered Swiss eye-
let over white taffeta, fashioned
with Masque bodice, lily -point
sleeves and scalloped sabrina
neckline. Her fingertip veil of
silk illusion was held by a scal-
loped. bandeau edged with seers
pearls. She carried a bouquet
of Easter lilies and red roses.
Her attendants were her sister,
Mrs. Robert Wilson, Highgate,
as matron of honor, Miss Fran-
ces Morgan, Ridgetown, as
bridesmaid, and Miss Marilyn
Morgan, as junior bridesmaid,
were gowned in fioordength
dresses of mere mist in pink,
coral and blue shades respective-
ly. Beth Wilson, niece of the
bride, as flower girl, wore a.
gown of nylon over French blue
mere mist, and carried pink and

Allan Rundle was groomsman
