It looks as if Jake and tire Kid will, start rolling before the cameras by summer. The pilot film went. over well. John Drainie will probably be Jake and the roll of the Kid is unde- cided. On radio the part was played by a woman. The young- ster who appeared on the pilot film might outgrow his charms before shooting starts, Kate Reid was slated for the mother role, but when the pilot was made she was still awaiting the birth of her daughter and was replaced. There is still a good possibility that she will get the series role. Jack Duffy might bave his Mrs. Donald Wallace and fancily, Carlingford.
