He at- tended the Coronation in '.Eng- land and represented the town at an official reception in Ex- eter, England, Bill Cochrane has worked unselfishly to promote the welfare of Exeter and South Huron. A former reeve, B. W. F. Beavers, participated in the banquet in the chief's honor. Mr. Cochrane was instrumental in establishing a pension fund for municipal employees. MUNICIPAL LEADERSHIP —One of_the major achieve- ments during his term as mayor was the installation of artificial ice in Exeter arena. Here, he snips the ribbon during opening cere- monies, assisted by Edward Brady, than chairman of the arena board, Mr, Coch- rane served as councillor, deputy -reeve, and mayor of the town and is now town solicitor as well as a mem- ber of the PUC.
