and the Commonwealth. He at-

at an official reception in Ex-
eter, England,

HONORS POLICE CHIEF .veteran Police Chief John Norry was retired with a
pension during Bill Cochrane's mayoralty. A former reeve, B. W. F. Beavers,
participated in the banquet in the chief's honor. Mr. Cochrane was instrumental
in establishing a pension fund for municipal employees.
MUNICIPAL LEADERSHIP

ments during his term as
mayor was the installation
of artificial ice in Exeter
arena. Here, he snips the

the arena board, Mr, Coch-
rane served as councillor,
deputy -reeve, and mayor of
the town and is now town
solicitor as well as a mem-
ber of the PUC.

Huron Hospital Association during its campaign for funds to construct the
building' which now serves the district. IIe is seen here when Exeter Lions pre-
