Tuesday night the Women's
Auxiliary of RCAF Centralia pre-
sented Fashion Futurama, feat-
uring the last word in 1958 styles
for adults and teens, in the recre-
ation hall at RCAF Station Cen-
tralia.
Modelled by air force wives and
daughters, in a Parisian sidewalk
cafe setting, the glamorous new
fashions were enthusiastically re-
ceived by an audience estimated
at over 500,
The emphasis was on the cos-
tume look from head to toe, with
the chemise line predominating.
The new approach to fashion is
enhanced and complemented by
clear bright fashion colours, in
new combinations with the ever
popular beige and navy. The
melon tones are used to advan-
tage with a new mint green
shade, and the becoming and so-
phisticated fireside blue.
The easy. -to -wear look is the
right look in sports clothes. ldrs,
D. S. MacKellar modelled a two-
piece cotton sports or square
dance dress in bewitching black
and white harlequin print.
Other sports outfits ie the easy
look and the new shades were
followed by a fetching lounge
suit.
Mrs. W. Franklin wore the fire-
side blue velveteen slim slacks,
topped by a blue and white floral
print blouse and complemented
by a dashing Paris .green belt.
