Mr. Horton had had several attacks but always made a recoverytie was down town on Saturday and was feel. ing fine but was stricken Sunday morning and taken to hospital by Bonthron ambulance. Born in Tuckersmith he was the son of the late Mr. and Airs. Henry Horton. Following his marriage he farmed on High- way 4 between Kippcn and Bruce - field, retiring to Hensall 11 years ago. An active member of the Unit- ed Church he was a honorary elder, a former valued member of the choir for many years and a former Sunday School teacher. Surviving are his widow, the former Olive Mitchell, one son, Stuart af Aiontreal; two grand- children; one sister, Airs. Grace liarpole, Hensall, Public funeral services were field Wednesday from Bonthron funeral chapel with Rev. C. D. Daniel officiating, Interment was in McTaggart's cemetery. J. T. Bonthron John T. Bonthron died on Mon- day, March 10, at Moose Jaw, Sask. Born in Hay Township, he was the son of the late Mr, and Mrs. James Bonthron, of Hensall. Mr. Bonthron was a retired CPR railroad conductor, and held im- portant civic positions and was Active in fraternal affairs. Surviving are his widow, the former Nan Horton, of Seaforth, three daughters, one sister, Mrs. Annie Hawthorne, Moose Jaw, Sask. Mrs. R. J. Paterson is a sister-in-law. Funeral services were held at Moose Jaw, on Wednesday, with burial in Moose Jaw. Personal Items Mr.. and Mrs. Ernest Apple- ton of Exeter were guests on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. C. L. Jinks. George'Taylor, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Taylor under - t an appendectomy in Clin- ton Public Hospital on Friday. Mr. and Mrs, Don Joynt left Sunday by plane for Chicago where they will vacation for a week.
