gan to deteriorate till it was

the Lucan W.I. was held in the
Community Memorial Centre
last Thursday afternoon with
the president, Mrs. Murray Hod-
gins. in the chair.
Twenty-eight members in;
eluding one new one, Mrs. Ben
Saulnier, answered the roll call
by paying a penny at inch for
the length of their foot. Being
Brotherhood Week the president
selected a suitable passage for
!the scripture lesson.
The motto, "Character like
embroidery is made stitch by
Stitch," was enlarged upon by
Mrs. Harold Hodgins under the
following headings, heredity en-
vironment and ability to face
life.
It was decided to charge a
?3c registration fee for the mil-
linery short course. The presi-
dent, Mrs. George Paul and aelrs.
