missionary from Japan, home on
furlough in Waterloo.

encountered for several days,
over the weekend, kept the snow-
plows going continuously. Sun -

ed Church, and evening service
in the Evangelical Church were
withdrawn due to snow block-
ades.

been seriously ill at her home,
was removed by ambulance on
Monday to Victoria Hospital,
London, for observation.
Mrs. Irvin Fin.kbeiner was
taken to St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, where she will undergo
Isurgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dale and
s sons Donald and Ted of Bra•mp-
ton were weekend visitors with
Mr. Francis Clark.
Dr. and Mrs. Fred Morlock
and son of Waterloo visited with
Mr• and Mrs. Gordon Morlock
over the weekend.
' Ladies Meeting
Meeting of the Ladies' Aid
and W.S.W.S. of the Evangelical
Church was held on Thursday
evening with Mrs. Ed. Hendrick
in charge.
Study chapter on "Cross and
Crisis in Japan" was given by
Mrs. M. Faist, Mrs, C. Sims
and Miss Lillian Heist.
A moment's silence was ob-
served in memory of the late
Mrs. Albert Gaiser and her
favorite hymn "Sweet Hour of
Prayer" was sung. Mrs. Wm.
McKee contributed a vocal solo
and Mrs. Gien Strome, a violin
solo, Mrs. F. W. Morlock gave a
reading.
First vice-president, Mrs. E.
Wenzel, presided for the busi-
ness. An invitation was extend-
ed for members to attend a
meeting in Dashwood Friday
night, to hear an address by
Miss Jean Kellerman, mission-
ary from Japan.
A nominatingcommittee was
appointed to bring in a slate of
officers at the next meeting in-
cluding Mrs. Wenzel. Mrs. Krue-
ger, Mrs, E. M. Fahrner and
Mrs. Strome, One hundred dol-
lars was voted for Mission Ad-
vance,
Meeting decided to plan for
a bazaar and bake sale. Used
stamps were brought in and fdl.

The brothers' father, the late
G. M. Drysdale, worked for
' Charles and. Jack McDonald.
hardware merchants, when he
first moved to liensall. After the
McDonald store was wiped out
in a disastrous fire in 1911, Mr.
Drysdale and another employee,
James Bonthron, established a
'partnership business in hard-
ware, furniture and undertaking.
The partnership was dissolved
in 1942 when two separate busi-
nesses were established and Mr.q
Drysdale and his two sons formed
a limited company m 1950.
Mrs. G. M. Drysdale is still
active in the store.
Members of the staff include
Edgar McQueen, Murrar Veinier, ,
Greta Pfaff and Mrs. Frank
Ellwood.
