A new room has been opened
in the public school with Mrs.
Willis Gill as the new teacher.
There are now six rooms in the
school which, up to 1955, had
only four rooms.

The annual vestry meeting of
St. John's -by -the -Lake Anglican
Church was held in the parish
hall with Rev. A. E. Bowker,
rector, presiding.
The 3.957 financial statement
was read by the treasurer, Mr,

Guild was read by Mrs. H. Bos-
senberry, president, and the
Dorcas report was given by Mrs.

Albert Mitchell
Biddulph -Native
Thomas Albert Mitchell, 80,
died in South Huron Hospital on
Saturday, January 25 having been
a patient for the past three
weeks.
Mr, Mitchell sold his property
at the south of Exeter last fall
and since that time had lived
with his daughter, Mrs. William
Hobbs, of Thorndale.
He was born on concession 2,
Biddulph Township and had lived
there all his life until moving to
Exeter 12 years ago, when be
purchased a home and small por-
tion of land on the southern nut
skirts of the town. He married
the former Zeta Andrew, of
Elimville who predeceased him
nine years ago,
Mr, Mitchell was a ittentber of
Centralia ,United Church while
living in T3iddulph and of James
Street Church since living in
Exeter.
He Is survived by one' seri.

Returns Staff
The Library Board held its an-
nual meeting in the United
Church basement on Tuesday
evening. The Board and staff
were all re-elected.
It was decided to have cards
printed for the purpose of hav-
ing members sign for their re-
sponsibility in taking books out
that they be returned or re-
newed in two weeks, and that
any books' not returned or dam-
aged will be paid for..
It was decided that all dues
will become payable at the end
of August in each and every
year, and that for books held
out over two weeks, a penalty
for overtime will be assessed.
